Rüdiger Leitlof

Rüdiger Leitlof (born February 15, 1959 in Großburgwedel ) is a former German cyclist and junior world champion in cycling .

Athletic career

Leitlof started for the club RC Blau-Gelb Langenhagen from 1927 (in which Werner Potzernheim was also active) later for the Hanoverian cycling club . His greatest success was winning the title at the UCI World Junior Championships in 1976 in the points race in Liège . A year later he appeared again as the defending champion and won the silver medal behind the Czech Miloslav Junec . At the German junior championships he won the bronze medal. In the following years, however, he could not achieve any greater success.
