The Rügen Bridge Run or Rügen Bridge Marathon is an annual running event in Stralsund and on the island of Rügen .

For the first time at the inauguration of the Rügen Bridge between Stralsund and the island of Rügen, the running event was held on October 21, 2007, which leads the participants over the 2831 meter long bridge of the 42 meter high Strelasund crossing . The next event in the series took place on May 18, 2008, for the first time with the Rügenbrücken Marathon . Since then, the event has been held every year in October.

The destination of the different distances is in front of the Ozeaneum Stralsund in the port of Stralsund. The current routes for runners are marathons, half marathons, 12 km and 6 km, for children from 6 to 13 years there is a children's run over 2 km. The marathon and half marathon have been offered since 2008. The route runs from Stralsund via Altefähr, Barnkewitz , Bessin and Rambin on Rügen back via Bessin, Altefähr to Stralsund.

There is a 6 and a 12 km route for walkers . The German salaried health insurance company, as one of the sponsors, has included the event in its DAK Walking Day series.

The organizer of the sporting event is the sports association of the Hanseatic city of Stralsund. The Sparkasse has also been a name sponsor since 2012 .
