The Rügen Island Brewery (full Company: Rügen Island Brauerei GmbH expeditions into the beer empire ) is a Craft Beer - Brewery in Rambin on the island of Ruegen .
The brewery was founded in 2014 by Markus Berberich, formerly managing director of the Störtebeker Braumanufaktur in Stralsund . The brewery produces different types of beer, which - unlike most breweries - are not brewed in steel tanks but in open fermentation vats. In addition, the company relies on bottle fermentation . To protect the beer from light, the bottles are wrapped in paper.
Awards
In 2016, the Rambiner Brewery's overseas hops were chosen as the world's best beer in the IPA category in the World Beer Award elections . She also received awards for seven other beers from the brewery.
