Rühlingshausen
Rühlingshausen is a place in the area of today's Heilbronn district of Böckingen in northern Baden-Württemberg , which disappeared completely around 1400 . It was located about 3.2 km southwest of Böckingen on a prehistoric high road that led to the Heuchelberg .
In 1383, a "Rühlingshauserin, a butcher" was mentioned in the Heilbronn document book, as was a "Edler von Rühlingshausen" in the Heilbronner Beedbuch in 1476 . The residents of Rühlingshausen probably moved to Heilbronn as early as the 14th century, whereupon the place went into decline.
The ending -inghausen indicates a place name typical for northern Germany. These North German place names consist on the one hand of an inmate name, hence -ing, and on the other hand from the basic word -hausen.
The Böckingen field name "Rühlingshausen" 3.2 km southwest of Böckingen near Klingenberg indicates the desert. The "Rühlingshäuser Straße" in Klingenberg also reminds of the place.
