Arthur Knoebel

Robert Arthur Knoebel , called Arthur, (* 1934 ) is an American mathematician.

Knoebel received his doctorate in mathematics ( Functionally complete algebras ) under Alfred Foster at the University of California, Berkeley , in 1965 . He then went to New Mexico State University .

He deals with algebra and theoretical computer science.

In 1982 he received the Lester Randolph Ford Award and in 1984 the Chauvenet Prize for Exponentials reiterated (American Mathematical Monthly, Volume 88, 1981, pp. 235-252).
