Otto Krosta
Otto Krosta (born May 10, 1844 in Sensburg , † July 7, 1925 in Berlin ) was a German medical officer in the Prussian Army.
Life
Krosta studied medicine at the Albertus University in Königsberg . In November 1863, like his older brother Friedrich Krosta, he became active in the Corps Baltia Königsberg . As a corps boy, he fought ten games. That was an above-average achievement at the time when the determination of the rating had not yet established itself. Honored as a fox major and consenior , he moved to the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin as an inactive person after completing the physics course . Even before the state examination he was awarded a Dr. med. PhD . In 1868 he established himself as a general practitioner in Drebkau . As a medical officer in the Landwehr , he took part in the Franco-German War in 1870/71 . He gave up his medical practice in Niederlausitz in 1878 and became a military doctor at the Friedrich Wilhelm Institute in Berlin. In 1881 he came as a medical officer for the Body Guard Grenadiers Regiment "King Friedrich Wilhelm III." (1. Brandenburg) no. 8 in Frankfurt (Oder) . In 1886 he was transferred to the non-commissioned officer school in Weißenfels and in the three emperor year to the Danzig Infantry Regiment No. 128 . Since 1890 he was senior staff and regimental doctor in the infantry regiment "Graf Bose" (1st Thuringian) No. 31 in Altona . He was appointed doctor general of the IV Army Corps in Magdeburg . When the Reich government sent an expeditionary force to suppress the Boxer Rebellion , Krosta was appointed head of the medical service. Like his brother, he retired in Berlin. He died at the age of 82.
