The Royal Air Force Station Aldermaston (short RAF Aldermaston ) was a military airfield of the Royal Air Force at Aldermaston in southern England . It was created in 1941. After the Second World War, military pilots were trained here. In 1950 the airfield was closed. The Atomic Weapons Establishment was established on the site .
