The MF 77 series is a vehicle type produced by the Parisian transport company RATP . There are 197 trains in two sub-series, which are made up of a total of 985 individual wagons. The MF 77 series serves lines 7 (71 trains), 8 (59 trains) and 13 (66 trains) of the Métro Paris . The trains have been in operation since September 1978. The first series of 187 trains was ordered in 1975 and delivered between summer 1978 and December 1982. A second series of ten trains with small differences was ordered in 1983 and delivered in 1985 and 1986.
Characteristics
The trains, which run on standard-gauge tracks, are fed with a direct voltage of 750 volts via a side busbar . A five-car train is 77.44 meters long and can carry 574 passengers. The technically possible maximum speed is 100 km / h, but the actual maximum speed is only 70 km / h. Each car has three double-leaf sliding doors on each side.
