The REHACARE International is an international trade fair for rehabilitation , care , prevention and inclusion . For 40 years it has provided an overview of aids and services that are necessary for people with disabilities , those in need of care, in old age and with chronic diseases - from simple products to complex systems. It combines product shows, specialist information and the exchange of specialist opinions through the interaction of the trade fair , congress and numerous theme parks.

Main topics

  • Rehabilitation: Manufacturers and service providers provide information on the field of rehabilitation. The topic is how the physical consequences of a disability or illness can be reduced to a minimum and thus the return to active everyday life and professional life can be supported by aids or individual measures.
  • Long-term care: The subject of long-term care is becoming more and more important in public, not least because of the increasing number of people in need of care. To this end, new developments and integrated concepts are presented.
  • Prevention: Maintaining health (primary prevention), recognizing diseases and disabilities at an early stage and curing them through timely treatment or avoiding aggravation (secondary prevention) are topics covered here; likewise the prevention or alleviation of consequential damage caused by disabilities (tertiary prevention).
  • Inclusion: Participation in social life - at work, in the household, while traveling, in sport and leisure time as well as in the field of culture - are dealt with here.

Exhibitors and visitors

REHACARE is organized by Messe Düsseldorf and takes place annually (usually) in October. In 2018, 967 exhibitors from 42 countries presented their offers to around 50,600 trade visitors, those affected and their relatives on an exhibition area of ​​well over 30,000 m².

  • The REHACARE congress quarter development is the first nationwide information and exchange platform that focuses on the "Barrier-free living in the quarter" event on the interdisciplinary exchange of experience between the housing industry, municipalities, social service providers and organized citizens.

  • Subject area "Brain + Eye + Ear": For visually impaired, blind, hard of hearing and deaf people, numerous exhibitors and associations will present aids, including visual aids for computer work, various Braille models and products in the field of image recognition. "Skull and Brain Patients in Need" presents tools and lectures for people with acquired brain damage and their relatives. The possibilities of rehabilitation techniques, counseling facilities and care centers are presented in concentrated form. Workshops, lectures and product presentations on the subject will also take place directly on the stand.
  • Subject area "Children": REHACARE offers several areas in which products and services specially tailored to the needs of children are presented.
  • Sport Center: In the Sport Center, the Disabled and Rehabilitation Sports Association of North Rhine-Westphalia (BRSNW) presents various types of sport. The program offers the right kind of sport for everyone and also the right contact person to get started with the leisure activity quickly.
