The REV Group (formerly Allied Specialty Vehicles ) is an American vehicle manufacturer. The company manufactures special vehicles for rescue workers, buses, recreational vehicles, tractors for works traffic and cleaning vehicles . REV was created in 2010 through the merger of several companies owned by the American Industrial Partners . The company went public in 2017, which reduced American Industrial Partners' stake to 72%. REV only operates two locations outside of the United States and sells its products almost exclusively in the United States and Canada. The group's 30 brands include E-One , Ferrara Fire Apparatus (both fire engines), Fleetwood (leisure vehicles) and Collins Industries (buses).
In February 2020, the REV Group took over the fire fighting vehicle division (Spartan Emergency Response) with the well-known brand Smeal Fire Apparatus from Spartan Motors .
In May 2020, the company sold its shuttle bus division (with the brands Champion, Federal Coach, World Trans, Krystal Coach, ElDorado and Goshen Coach) to the Elkhart- based manufacturer of buses and motorhomes Forest River .
