history

The RMSV Edelweiss Aach was founded on March 16, 1899 by 21 cyclists under the name "Velo Club Aach". The main goals at the time were the procurement of bicycles, cultivating camaraderie and going out together. In 1904 the club name was changed to "Radfahrverein Aach" and at the same time became a member of the South German Cyclists Association . The federal festival of cyclists was held in Aach in 1907. In addition to other things such as price parade, etc., there was talk of artificial cycling appearances for the first time and on a small scale. However, this discipline no longer played a role in the following years. In 1922 the name was changed to "Radfahrverein Edelweiß Aach". After the rest period during the Second World War, the club became active again in 1946 and celebrated its 50th anniversary in 1949 with the 1st Cyclist Festival in South Baden. In July 1960, the VII Federal Festival of the BRMB took place in Aach, with 80 clubs taking part in the Federal Prize Corso.
