The RSV Union 05 Cologne (officially: Rheinischer Sportverein Union 05 Köln eV ) was a sports club from Cologne . The first soccer team played for two years in the highest amateur league in the Middle Rhine region.

history

The association was founded in 1905. For the 1947/48 season , the team rose to the Rheinbezirksliga , the top amateur league on the Middle Rhine at the time. After two years, he was relegated to the district class. The low point of the 1948/49 season was a 10:10 defeat at SC West Cologne . In 1952, the possible resurgence was only just missed. As third in the table, the RSV Union was one point behind master SSV Vingst 05 . Five years later, he was relegated to the district class. In 1971 the team rose with 0:60 points and 22: 207 goals from the district class. The association later disbanded.
