As TPF and TRN RBDe 567 two outwardly different but identical forth from the electrical equipment railcar types from the group of "are private train NPZ " classified, of which four pieces were delivered.

Delivery 1983 with two driver's cabs

Two RABDe 4/4s each initiated the modernization of the locomotive fleet at RVT (today TRN) and GFM (today TPF). In both railcars, the only EAV railcar was replaced, but it was the most modern vehicle of these railways up to that point. The box structure was basically the same as in the BLS RBDe 565 , but by adding a driver's cab at the end of II, the equipment cabinets had to be moved back. The smaller compartment was labeled as a first-class compartment without changing the seat divider. The head shape of the railcars had to be changed because a front wall door with bellows was to be installed. The front of the high-performance railcars that were subsequently delivered to the SOB in 1978/79 was used . The vehicles were put into operation with the numbers RVT 104–105 and GFM 171–172. In 1983 and 1985 the GFM received a Bt 371 and 373 control car with an identical head shape. In addition, three Bt EAV railcars were adapted for remote control of these railcars. The RVT railcar 104 changed to GFM in 1991/92 as 173. The TRN train from RBDe 567 315 (ex RVT 105), B 301 (EW I) and ABt 202 (EW I) was sold to TRAVYS in 2013 ( TSI numbers 94 85 7567 174-8, 50 85 2035 475-6 and 50 85 80-33 375).

Deliveries in 1985/91 with a driver's cab

The BLS version with only one driver's cab was adopted for subsequent purchases on both railways. In 1985, RVT received the RBDe 4/4 106 and in 1991 the 107, while the GFM received the RABDe 4/4 181–182 in the same year. Again the smaller passenger compartment was labeled as a first-class compartment. Following the example of the BLS, the RVT procured ABt 204 (1985) and 205–206 (1991), the GFM Bt 381–382 (1991). These control cars can also be used with the railcars from the 1983 delivery and vice versa.

UIC numbers

In 1993/94 the railcars were given seven-digit numbers:

  • RVT RBDe 567 315 and 316-317
  • GFM RABDe 537 171-173 and 181-182

commitment

The railcars at GFM first took over essential parts, then practically all of the traffic as two-part shuttle trains on the Freiburg – Murten – Ins route, and a little later on the Bulle – Romont route, where the control car was only carried at peak times. On both routes, the railcars also took care of goods traffic until it was transferred to "Trabis" in 1996 and has been operated by SBB Cargo with its own locomotives since December 2006 . At RVT, the railcars initially drove four-part Neuchâtel – Fleurier – Buttes shuttle trains, alternating with SBB commuter trains. With the delivery of two NINAs in the years 2002–03 (sold to BLS in the meantime) they took over the main load, the RBDe 567 317 with B Jumbo 302, B 307 and ABt 205 mainly drove at peak times. The delivery of the FLIRT resulted in a further reduction in operations .

From 2001, not least in view of the Expo 02, the Freiburg – Ins trains were extended to Neuchâtel. During the expo, the compositions initially ran in four parts. Since then, all regional trains have been run with three-part commuter trains, and individual trains have been reinforced. On the Bulle – Romont route, these vehicles were temporarily replaced by an SBB RBe 540 and an EAV multiple unit (ex Thurbo); FLIRT from TPF and Domino from SBB have been in use since December 2011, guaranteeing direct connections to / from Freiburg and Bern, respectively.

The TRN RBDe 567 184 (RBDe 317), which had not been used for a long time, was sold to DSF together with the intermediate cars B 305 and 306 and the control car ABt 205 and transferred from Fleurier to Koblenz on September 8, 2018.

modernization

The TRN had its B 302 from the collective order of the EAV railcars at Bombardier converted into a low-floor articulated car B Jumbo and thus has another train with low-floor entry available in addition to the NINA and FLIRT.

The TPF modernized and air-conditioned its vehicles and also the shuttle train 316-204 of the TRN, which is painted with TPF in use. During the modernization phase, TPF rented additional vehicles from TRN. The modernization included the relocation of the first-class compartment to the control car and the procurement of three matching low-floor intermediate cars B 367–369 from Stadler (commissioning 2006).

The railcars have thus been redrawn as RBDe 567 171–173 and 181–182 (53 × stands for (R) ABDe, 56 × for RBDe).

The TRN ABt 206 was sold to TPF in 2006 and, after modernization / air conditioning, was classified as ABt 383.

Intermediate car B Lego

The GFM received the intermediate wagons B 364–365 in 1984, the RVT received the B 304 in 1985 and the B 305–307 in 1992. The intermediate cars of the EAV railcars were also used. The B 304 was used at TRAVYS from 2008. The TSI numbers are 50 85 20-35 504 CH-TVYS 505 to 507 CH-TRN, as well as 508 and 509 CH-TPF.
