Raúl Arias (born October 29, 1957 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican football coach and former player who mainly acted in midfield .
Life
society
Arias began his professional career in the 1977/78 season with CD Tampico . After four seasons at Atlético Potosino , he came to Puebla FC , with whom he won the Mexican championship in his first season in 1982/83 . He then played for the UANL Tigres , Guadalajara , León , Atlante , Cruz Azul and the Correcaminos de la UAT before returning to Puebla FC and ending his active career there in the 1991/92 season.
National team
He played his only two games in the dress of the Mexican national team at the end of 1983 in the internationals against Martinique (4: 4) and Canada (5: 0), and in the second game on December 6, 1983, he scored his only international goal to make it 5-0 scored in the 68th minute.
Trainer
Arias made his coaching debut in the 1998/99 season at Club Necaxa , with whom he won the championship straight away in his first half season (Invierno 1998). After seven years of coaching at Necaxa, Arias moved to Club San Luis , which he was in charge of between 2006 and 2008. In 2009 he first returned to Necaxa and then signed a contract with CD Guadalajara , which he supervised for a short time in the 2009/10 season , in which a total of five coaches were used at Chivas.
