Ra'anan Alexandrowicz

Ra'anan Alexandrowicz ( Hebrew רענן אלכסנדרוביץ; * August 29, 1969 in Jerusalem ) is an Israeli film director and screenwriter .

biography

From 1991 to 1996 Alexandrowicz studied film studies at the Sam Spiegel Film and Television School in Jerusalem . He initially directed various music video productions and several documentaries . In 2003, James' journey to Jerusalem was his first feature film.

On September 26, 2005, the film crew and Israeli peace activists were attacked by residents of the Havat Ma'on settlement outpost . Ra'anan Alexandrowicz was beaten up by a settler armed with an M-16 assault rifle. Parts of the film equipment were stolen.

  • Martin : 1999 Wolgin Award at the Jerusalem Film Festival for best Israeli documentary.
