Ra'anan Cohen
Ra'anan Cohen ( Hebrew רענן כהן; * February 28, 1941 in Baghdad ) is a former Israeli politician who was Minister of Welfare and Social Services from August 10, 2000 to March 7, 2001 as a member of the Jisra'el Achat .
Life
He immigrated to Palestine in 1951 as part of the Aliyah . In his youth he was a member of the Histadrut ha-No'ar ha-owed we-ha-lomed ( Hebrew הסתדרות הנוער העובד והלומד, lit. The Federation of Working and Studying Youth ). He was also a member of the No'al ( Hebrew נוע"ל), an Israeli youth movement, the Habonim Dror and the Zionut Sozialistit ( Hebrew ציונות סוציאליסטית, Socialist Zionists ).
