Habonim Dror
Habonim Dror ( Hebrew הבונים דרור; "Builders of Freedom") is a worldwide Jewish youth organization of the socialist Zionists . Originally the association was associated with the Poale Zion party . The sister organization in Israel is Histadrut ha-No'ar ha-Owed we-ha-Lomed .
history
Habonim Dror was created in 1982 when the youth associations Ha-Bonim and Dror merged after the respective kibbutz organizations had merged in 1980 to form the HaTenoa'a HaKibbutzit HaMeuchedet .
Habonim
Habonim ( Hebrew הבּוֹנִים; "Builders") was founded in Great Britain in 1929 and subsequently spread to English-speaking countries. Habonim was associated with the Ichud Ha-Kwuzot ve-Ha-Kibbutzim kibbutz movement.
Dror
Dror ( Hebrew דְּרוֹר; "Freedom") was created in Poland in 1915 from a wing of the Zeire Zion ("Zionist Youth"). The majority of Zeire Zion merged with Haschomer to form Hashomer Hatzair in 1913 . The remainder then formed Dror. The group was influenced by the teachings of the Narodniks . Dror was associated with the Ha-Kibbutz Ha-Me'uchad kibbutz movement .
In 1942 members of Dror were involved in founding the Jewish Fighting Organization in the Warsaw Ghetto , among them Jitzhak Zuckerman .

The youth organization now operates in seventeen countries, including Argentina , Australia , Belgium , Brazil , Canada , France , Germany , the Netherlands , Hungary , Mexico , New Zealand , South Africa , the United Kingdom , the USA and Uruguay .
The German member association is the Zionist Youth in Germany with groups in Berlin , Frankfurt am Main and Munich .
