Se'ew Zur ( Hebrew זאב צור; born as Ze'ev Stein , Hebrew זאב שטיין; * September 11, 1911 ; † September 28, 1994 ) was a deputy of the Achdut haAwoda from December 5, 1955 to December 17, 1959 , Israel's deputy minister of agriculture .

Life

Zur attended a grammar school in Hrodna , then he studied at the Polytechnic in Vilnius . He was a member of the youth movement of the Socialist Zionists of Poland and the youth organization Dror . In 1931 he immigrated to Palestine. From 1933 to 1934 he was in Rishon LeZion member of the predecessor organization of the later city council ( workers' council ). In 1944 he became a member of the Merkas HaChakla'i ( Hebrew המרכז החקלאי), a settlement movement.

As a member of the Mapai , he left the party in 1944 to found Ahdut HaAvoda-Poale Zion . On Achdut HaAwoda's electoral list , he entered the Knesset in 1955 and was appointed Deputy Minister of Agriculture on December 5, 1955 . He lost his seat in the Knesset in the 1959 elections.
