Discount on alien accessories
Discount on alien accessories is a German cabaret duo consisting of Jann Wattjes (* 1992 in Esens ) and August Klar (* 1990 in Görlitz ).
Act
Wattjes and Klar come from the German-speaking poetry slam scene and, as solo artists, are each winners of numerous slam competitions. In 2017 they founded the cabaret duo "Discount on Alien Accessories". for which they work on texts together and Klar brings in music and beatbox elements in addition to Dadaist objections . In addition to taking part in cabaret competitions, they also appear as punk rock bands, organizers of the " Reading for Beer " format and participants in poetry slams. At the German-language slam championships in Zurich , they won the song slam title. At the same championships, they also reached the team slam final and landed there in fifth place. The following year they qualified for the semi-finals in Berlin .
Wattjes and Klar live and work in Paderborn , where they moderate the monthly "Kult Slam".
