The Rabaul was a motorboat owned by the governorate of the German New Guinea colony .

history

The Rabaul was built by Ulderup & Schlueter in Hong Kong in 1913 for the national fishery of the German New Guinea protected area. Originally the motorboat was called Papua , but it was put into service in 1914 as Rabaul , named after the capital of German New Guinea - Rabaul . The boat served as a station boat for the German officials in Rabaul.

The whereabouts of the Rabaul is unknown.
