Radial axis
Radial axes are axes with a special bearing . They are particularly used in locomotives and multiple units to protect the track body with regard to the resulting centrifugal forces .
Examples of the use of radial axes are the Krauss-Helmholtz steering frame and the Schwartzkopff-Eckhardt steering frame .
The radial axis is a further development of the Adam axis .
