Radio Aktiv (Munich)
Radio Aktiv was a Munich radio station and was one of the first private broadcasters in Germany. It was founded in 1984 by Peter Pelunka and was allowed to go on air from April 1, 1984 as part of the Munich cable pilot project . Next to Radio Xanadu , Radio M1 and Neue Welle Bayern it was one of four private broadcasters. After Radio Weinstrasse from Ludwigshafen am Rhein , these were the first private radio stations in Germany.
The program consisted of local reporting and music. Initially, attempts were made to switch to different styles of music, from rock to hits, every hour. The studio was located in Munich's Westend . When it started broadcasting, only around 700 households were able to receive the program. As early as May 1984, the first paid advertising was broadcast on private radio in Germany. From May 1985, Radio Aktiv could be heard in addition to the cable program on the FM frequency 92.4 MHz, together with the providers Radio M1, Radio Xanadu and Radio 44 . In addition to Peter Pelunka, the moderators included Angelo Buchwald and Günni Keil. Saturn Hansa's sales charts were broadcast on Saturn Countdown . On April 11, 1988, Radio Aktiv ceased operations, from then on only radio M1 and the Jazz Welle broadcast on 92.4 MHz.
