Radio Barth

Radio Barth was a commercial building in the center of Stuttgart until its demolition in 2000 . It stood where the City Plaza office and commercial building is today.

Paul Stohrer built the office building from 1964 to 1966 .

Until 1995, musical instruments and entertainment electronics were sold here in the company founded by Robert Barth in 1878. Radiohaus Barth was one of the oldest music stores in Württemberg, founded in 1878, and "cult" for Stuttgart until it closed in 1995.

After the bankruptcy of the music business, creative people from the Stuttgart music and cultural scene settled here. For example, the kolkhoz and the 0711 office as well as the director Zoran Bihać had business premises here.

From 1995 until the demolition in October 2000, the radio bar was here, an important, cultural meeting point for the German hip-hop scene at the time.
