Radio Basel 1
Radio Basel 1 was a local radio station in north-western Switzerland . The station from Liestal started its program under the new name Radio Basel 1 on August 25, 2003 at 6 a.m. in the presence of FCB master trainer Christian Gross . The station is a direct successor to the (upper) Baselbieter radio Radio Raurach , which went on the air on November 1, 1983 (the beginning of the private radio scene in Switzerland) , which was then produced in Sissach and existed until 1995 and was transferred to Radio Edelweiss . A major investor in the new Basel radio was Bernhard Burgener from Highlight Communications , who made an outdoor studio possible in Basel's Steinenvorstadt (closed today). Radio Basel 1 ceased operations on September 30, 2009 . The successor radio Radio Basel no longer broadcast from Liestal, but from Basel.
