Radio hall

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Radio Hall was a regional radio broadcaster from Baden-Württemberg for the city of Schwäbisch Hall , which was carried by the Haller Tageblatt.

The station started broadcasting on June 25, 1988 on the 102.6 MHz frequency. Only a few hours a day were broadcast, the rest of the time the program was taken over by Radio Regenbogen . Due to a low transmission power of 100 W, the transmitter only had a very short range, could not hold its own against the private competitors Radio 7 Ostalb (50,000 W transmission power) and Antenne 1 (75,000 W transmission power) and had to file for bankruptcy just a year later. Radio Hall was the first private broadcaster in Germany to go bankrupt. On August 13, 1989 broadcasting was stopped again, shortly afterwards burglars stole all studio equipment worth 85,000 DM.
