Radio Rossii ( Russian Радио России , German Radio Russia ) is a state-owned Russian radio broadcaster from Moscow , which broadcasts its programs nationwide.

history

Radio Rossii was founded in 1990. The station is owned by the Russian state media holding WGTRK , which also includes television stations such as Telekanal Rossija and a few other radio stations.

program

The program focus at Radio Rossii is a broad information program. The station is close to the government of Vladimir Putin . This is particularly important because Radio Rossii has the largest market share of all information channels, especially a far larger share than all channels more critical of the government combined.

Radio Rossii can be received nationwide in Russia. The station is broadcast via FM and DVB-T . Radio Rossii is the Russian radio station with the third largest market share, around 17% nationwide (2003 survey). In Moscow, where the market for more stations is fiercely contested, the station still reaches 13%, the largest share of a single station there.
