Radio Waddenzee was in Frisian Harlingen established Internet - and medium wave - broadcasters .

The station broadcast from May 20, 2005 on the frequency 1602 kHz. Their transmission technology has been on the former light ship Jenni Baynton, which was moored north of Harlingen, since 2007 . The program was aimed at tourists visiting the Wadden Sea .

On June 1, 2015, Radio Waddenzee discontinued its program. KBC Radio / The Mighty KBC took over the daily broadcasting time from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., which was previously used at 1602 kHz . The broadcast of Radio Seagull , which ran between 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., remained unaffected.
