Radio Klassik Stephansdom is a classical radio station of the Archdiocese of Vienna . The studios are located on Singerstrasse near St. Stephen's Cathedral . It started broadcasting in Vienna on September 24, 1998 as Radio Stephansdom , and on June 1, 2015, the station was renamed Radio Klassik Stephansdom . Since the beginning, broadcasts have been made via a system on the Danube Tower on the FM 107.3 MHz frequency, and Radio Klassik Stephansdom can be received in Vienna and the surrounding area and in southern Lower Austria . Since September 10, 2018, Radio Klassik Stephansdom can also be heard in the greater Graz area on the FM 94.2 MHz frequency, the transmitter is located on the Graz Schlossberg. Further reception options exist in the Kabelplus network on FM 106.4 MHz and in the digital networks of UPC on channel 863 and Salzburg AG on frequency 466 MHz. The program can also be accessed as a live stream and via the station's own radio library.

The station is dedicated exclusively to classical music and current information and is known for its word share for its news magazines between 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Live broadcasts of important church events and live recordings of concerts with well-known artists and orchestras complete the program. The station mottos over the years have included “The Oasis for the Soul”, “Classical with a Meaning” and “Classical Committed”; since June 1, 2015, the motto has been “Switch on feelings”.
