Radiodiffusion-Télévision du Burkina (RTB) is the name of the national radio and television company of the West African state of Burkina Faso . It was founded in 2001 as the successor to the Office de radiodiffusion et de télévision du Burkina (ORTB), which was founded in 1999 as an institution under public law .

Radio Burkina is located in Ouagadougou

The RTB, which is subordinate to the Ministry of Information, is responsible for supplying the country with a television and radio program, participating in government development projects, providing education and entertainment for the population and making the country's culture known abroad.

The first radio station, Radio Haute-Volta , was built in 1959 during French colonial times. In 1963, the national television Volta-vision went on air for the first time. The then Upper Volta was one of the first Sahel states with its own television.

The general director of RTB is Marcel Toé.
