Radney Foster
Radney Foster (born July 20, 1959 in Del Rio , Texas ) is a country singer and songwriter.
Life
The son of a lawyer, Radney Foster, decided to take a year off in 1985 to play country music in Nashville . He first worked as a waiter before he got a job as a songwriter at a music publisher. Here he worked with Bill Lloyd. Together they wrote a top 10 song for the Sweethearts of the Rodeo . In 1987 the duo received a record deal with the RCA label under the name Foster and Lloyd . Three albums and several successful singles were produced before they split in 1991.
Foster continued to work alone and released his first solo album, Del Rio, Texas, 1959 on the Arista label in 1992 , which only contained his own compositions. Several successful singles were released, of which Nobody Wins reached number two on the country charts. His second album Labor Of Love was released in 1995. Although of recognized high quality, the sales figures were unsatisfactory. In 2002 Foster, one of the few people who wear glasses among country musicians, switched to a smaller label.
