Radyo-1

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Radyo-1 is the first radio program of the state broadcasting company TRT in Turkey .

history

In 1974, the broadcasting stations in major cities (Radyo Istanbul, Ankara Radyosu, etc.), which had been handed over to TRT by the Post since 1964, were combined into one transmitter. This full program with content from all branches became TRT 1. In 1975 two more radio networks (TRT 2 and TRT 3) went on air. In 1987 Radyo-4 started its program as the fourth radio network of the TRT. With the establishment of Radyo-4, the three radio networks that had existed since the 1970s (TRT 1, TRT 2 and TRT 3) were renamed Radyo-1, Radyo-2 and Radyo-3 in order to make them more popular with TV channels ( TRT-1 and TRT-2). With the expansion to four channels, the TRT is now focusing on greater delimitation of the content of the radio networks from one another. In addition to Radyo-2 (news), Radyo-3 (classical music) and Radyo-4 (Turkish music), the word share on Radyo-1 was successively increased and the program was dedicated to culture and education.

program

Radyo-1 is a sophisticated word program; H. that in addition to educational v. a. Cultural programs are disseminated. The news share increased significantly with the switch from Radyo-2 (news channel) to TRT-fm (entertainment and music) in 1997. This remained so when the establishment of the news channel Radyo-Haber again created a special interest channel for news from the TRT. At Radyo-1, the coverage of current affairs went more in-depth. The main focus of the Radyo-1 offer is the morning, noon, evening and night news magazines, the educational programs of the distance university, theater recordings, book readings and radio plays as well as scientific articles and talk programs. In order to avoid switching from the word program of the day to a music program at night, some high-range programs from the day are repeated late at night. The content of the program is therefore comparable to that of the German broadcasters WDR 5 and DLF .

distribution

Radyo-1 can be received via ultra-short wave throughout Turkey . There are also some medium wave transmitters. The channel broadcasts 24 hours a day and can be heard live on the Internet via the media player.
