Rafał Kuptel (born April 1, 1976 in Iława ) is a former Polish handball player who was mostly used on the back center .

The 1.92 m tall and 102 kg heavy right-handed player initially played for the Polish club Wybrzeże Gdańsk. From 2001 he ran for two years for KS Warszawianka. After a brief stint at HC Berchem in Luxembourg, he joined Wisła Płock in 2003 , with whom he was Polish champion in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2008 and cup winner in 2005, 2007 and 2008. Internationally, he played several times in the EHF Champions League and in the European Cup Winners' Cup , in which he reached the round of 16 in 2005/06 and 2006/07.

With the Polish national team , Rafał Kuptel was runner-up at the 2007 World Cup in Germany. He played 144 international matches and scored 157 goals.
