Raffaele Macario

Raffaele Macario (born September 9, 1909 in Torre Annunziata , † December 7, 1993 ) was an Italian bishop.

Macario was ordained a priest on May 26, 1932. Pope Pius XII appointed him on June 21, 1948 auxiliary bishop in Albano and titular bishop of Tiberias . Egisto Domenico Melchiori , Bishop of Tortona , donated him to the episcopal ordination on July 25, 1948. Co- consecrators were Francesco Orlando , Bishop of San Severo, and Silvio Cassulo , Bishop of Macerata e Tolentino . Pope Paul VI appointed him on September 29, 1966 as the first diocesan bishop of Albano. Previously, the Cardinal Bishop of Albano took on the episcopal duties. He attended all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council . On June 11, 1977 Pope Paul VI. his resignation.
