Raginpert
Raginpert († 701 ) was a son of King Godepert and in 701 briefly King of the Lombards .
After the death of King Cunincpert in 700, his underage son Liutpert was initially the legitimate successor, so that Ansprand was installed as regent. Raginpert, the dux (Duke) of Turin , who himself belonged to the Agilolfinger royal family , took advantage of this situation eight months after Cunincpert's death for open rebellion.
In the Battle of Novariae ( Novara ) in 701 he was able to prevail against Ansprand and dux Rotharit of Bergamo and usurp the throne. He died that same year, after which his son Aripert II succeeded him as king. He had another son named Gumpert.
