The Rahmfleck is an oval Brotteigfladen, traditionally with sour cream and bacon comes in the stone oven. After baking, the flatbread is supplemented with chives. Variations with, among other things, vegetarian toppings are possible.

history

The cream stain was first created in 1985 by the baker Wolfgang Schlegl for the Neuburg Castle Festival , after the oven maker Hubert Ziegler was able to equip it with a mobile oven for the festival. After experimenting with toppings, it was decided that the topping of the creation should consist of sour cream and bacon, to which chives should be added after baking. This original version of the Rahmfleck was called Neuburger Rahmflck. After the success of the pastry at the 1985 Castle Festival, the cream stains were also sold at the festival in the following years. At the same time, Ziegler began to offer the food at other events. Finally, in 2001, the Rahmfleck was protected by the patent office.
