The Rahrowan Minaret ( Persian مناره رهروان Menare Rahrowan , IPA : [ mɛnɑɾɛ ɾæhɾovɑn ]) is a historical minaret in the Iranian province of Isfahan , 6 km northeast of the city of Isfahan . The 30 m high structure dates from the Seljuk era. It remains in its original form, but its inscriptions have been badly damaged. It is the fourth oldest minaret in Isfahan Province after the Ali Minaret , Sarban Minaret and Siyar Minaret . Its decorations are simple. The names Mohammed and Ali were inscribed several timesin a diamond strip around the minaret.

At the top of the minaret there is a window for the muezzin and for beacons to orient caravans and travelers in the desert .
