Rahuri is a city in the Indian state of Maharashtra .
The city is part of the Ahmednagar district . Rahuri has the status of a Municipal Council . The city is divided into 20 wards . It had a total of 38,813 inhabitants on the cut-off date of the 2011 census, of which 20,140 were men and 18,673 women. Hindus form the largest group of the city's population with a share of over 83%, followed by Muslims with over 11%. The literacy rate in 2011 was 83.69%, well above the national average.
