history
On November 8, 2001, RBI bought the American Bank of Kosovo and renamed it Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo in June 2003. It was able to develop very quickly and opened over 50 branches in the country by 2011, in which almost 700 employees were employed. In 2007, the Bank of magazine was The Banker for Bank of the Year award. In 2008 and 2009 she received from the magazine Euro Money award Best Bank . In 2011 she received the title of Best Bank in Kosovo from Global Finance .
The bank is a member of the Fondi për Sigurimin e Depozitave të Kosovës (FSDK), a deposit protection fund founded in 2011 .
