RailSim II
RailSim II (also RailSim 2 ) is a (model) railway simulation by the Japanese Intaanetto Teiryuujo .
RailSim II is software with which a railroad system can be virtually planned, built and then used by trains . The game is similar to Eisenbahn.exe or VRM .

RailSim II is an open source software that can be used to create railway systems. The game can be expanded with free add-ons, so-called plug-ins . These include new rolling stock, real estate, train stations, tracks, signals, etc., with the focus of the material available on Japan, but there are also a few non-Japanese plug-ins. Thanks to the open structure of RailSim, in principle any project can be implemented, there are no restrictions whatsoever with regard to the type and shape of rolling stock and structures. In addition to tracks of the 1067 mm gauge that is common in Japan, it is also possible to install tracks in the normal gauge of 1435 mm and also to lay the gauge flexibly within a system or layout. Several types of traction (steam / combustion engine / electric) within one layout are also possible.
