Raimondas Paliulionis

Raimondas Paliulionis (born June 27, 1960 in Valkiškiai , Rajongemeinde Biržai ) is a Lithuanian chess referee and coach and sports official. He is Vice President of the Lithuanian Chess Federation .

Life

Paliulionis has been playing chess since he was eight. He studied at the middle school in Papilis , then he completed the pedagogy diploma course at the Pedagoginis institutas in Šiauliai and became a physics and mathematics teacher. He then worked as a chess trainer at the Šiauliai sports school. For five years he trained the current grandmaster Viktorija Čmilytė .

In 2009 Paliulionis received the title FIDE Arbiter , in 2009 the title International Arbiter (IA) and in 2014 the title FIDE Trainer from FIDE . He works as a chess trainer in the Biržų šachmatų klubas chess club in Biržai . He is also a trainer in the Biržai district sports school . Since 2013 he has been Vice President of Lietuvos šachmatų federacija.
