Rainer Bromme

Rainer Bromme (born February 13, 1951 in Frankfurt am Main ) was Professor of Educational Psychology in the Department of Psychology and Sports Science at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster from 1995 to 2017 . He is currently a senior professor there.

Act

Bromme's research and work focuses are "cognition and teaching, learning processes". His previous research related to teacher expertise and hypertext learning. Later research focused on epistemic beliefs, expert-lay communication (especially in the health sector) and science communication. Bromme is one of the project managers in the graduate school “Trust and Communication in a Digital World” at the University of Münster. He examines how trust in science is changing in and through the Internet.
