Rainer Carle

Rainer Carle (born August 9, 1946 in Westerstede ; † February 6, 2015 in Manado ) was a German linguist.

Life

After graduating as Dr. phil. in Hamburg 1977 and the habilitation in Cologne 1986 he was there from 1990 to 2011 as professor and between 1972 and 1982 scientific assistant for Austronesian Studies.
