Rainer Eising

Rainer Eising (* 1964 ) is a German political scientist .

Life

From 1987 to 1993 he studied political and administrative science at the Universities of Konstanz , Amherst and Columbia University (graduating with a degree in administrative science in June 1993). From 1993 to 1999 he was a research assistant at the University of Mannheim ( PhD in February 1999). From 1999 to 2000 he was a university assistant at the Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg . From 1999 to 2000 he was a Jean-Monnet Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence . From 2000 to 2006 he was a university assistant at the FernUniversität in Hagen ( Venia Legendi for political science in September 2006). From 2005 to 2007 he taught as a professor for European studies at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena (2005–2006 acting representation). Since 2007 he has been Professor for Comparative Government Studies and Policy Field Analysis at the Ruhr University Bochum .

His research areas are the European Union and EU member states, political economy, political participation and mediation of interests and policy analysis.
