Rainer Grieger

Rainer Grieger (born May 1, 1962 in Remscheid , North Rhine-Westphalia ) has been President of the University of the Police of the State of Brandenburg , based in Oranienburg , since 2004 . As a representative of the police colleges, he is a member of the Presidium of the Rectors' Conference of the universities for the public service.

Life

After graduating from high school, Rainer Grieger studied at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in Cologne for the high-level police enforcement service and was appointed detective commissioner after completing his studies (1984). In the State Criminal Police Office of North Rhine-Westphalia he was a member of the crime scene group "Sprengstoff / Brand" and was employed as a crime scene investigator in explosive attacks and major fires.

After working on the staff of the State Criminal Police Office and as an investigator and investigator at the criminal investigation department of the Duisburg Police Headquarters, he joined the development staff of the State Criminal Police Office in Brandenburg in 1991. After training for the higher police enforcement service in 1994, official positions followed in the Potsdam Police and in the Brandenburg State Criminal Police Office (including special investigations OK ). From 2001 to 2004 he was responsible for the affairs of the criminal police in the Potsdam Ministry of the Interior . During this time he also represented the German federal states in the EU Council working group “Terrorism” in Brussels .
