Rainer Haungs
Rainer Haungs (born September 7, 1942 in Lahr / Black Forest ; † January 18, 1996 in Bonn ) was a German economist, entrepreneur and politician ( CDU ).
Life
After graduating from high school in Lahr, Haungs initially trained as a painter, then studied economics in Freiburg im Breisgau and graduated with a diploma. Haungs managed companies in the painting trade and was involved in politics and associations.
As a CDU member, he was a member of the Lahr City Council from 1975 to 1990 and of the German Bundestag from 1983 until his death. He was always directly elected for the Bundestag constituency Emmendingen - Lahr .
As the economic policy spokesman for his group, for example, he campaigned for the liberalization of shop closing times .
