Rainer Lux

Rainer Lux (born March 3, 1951 in Vosswinkel ) is a German CDU politician .

From 1995 to 2010 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia and there spokesman in the committee for local politics and administrative structural reform.

education and profession

After graduating from high school in 1970, Rainer Lux studied from 1976 to 1979 at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in North Rhine-Westphalia with a degree in administrative management. From 1976 to 1995 he was a detective with the criminal police in Bielefeld.

Rainer Lux is married and has two children.

politics

Rainer Lux has been a member of the CDU since 1969. He has been a member of the Bielefeld City Council since 1989, and has been parliamentary group leader of the CDU since 1992 . He has been a member of the North Rhine-Westphalia state parliament since 1995 . For the state constituency of Bielefeld II he was elected in the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2005 with 44.4 percent of the vote. In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2010 , he lost his direct mandate in the constituency and left the North Rhine-Westphalia state parliament. His successor as constituency representative is Regina Kopp-Herr (SPD).

Honors

In February 2018, Rainer Lux received the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon for his voluntary commitment to German-Polish understanding .
