Rainer Nickel (born July 10, 1940 in Korbach ) is a German classical philologist and didactician .

Life

Nickel studied classical philology at the University of Marburg and at the Free University of Berlin from 1960 to 1965 . He passed the first state examination in 1965 and the second state examination in 1968 and then worked as a research assistant at the Free University until 1969, where he received his doctorate in 1970 with the dissertation The concept of possession and use . From 1969 to 1972 he taught at the Berlinisches Gymnasium zum Grauen Kloster . From 1972 to 1977 he organized teacher training at the Schleswig-Holstein State Institute for Practice and Theory of Schools (IPTS), taught at several schools in Kiel and held a teaching position at the TU Berlin for didactics in ancient languages.
