Rainer Splitt
Rainer Splitt (* 1963 in Celle ) is a German artist.
He studied at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig , the École des Beaux-Arts in Nîmes and the School of Visual Arts in New York . Today he lives and works in Berlin . He is best known for his color casts made of synthetic resin and polyurethane, as well as panels dipped in color.
Exhibitions of his work took place regularly in numerous galleries and art halls, including the Kunstmuseum Celle (2003), Kunstverein Ruhr (2004) and Kunstverein Aichach (2007).
In autumn 2006 he won the competition for the artistic design of the square at the Dresden theater with his design “Waterscreen” .
Rainer Splitt is a member of the German Association of Artists . He has already received several awards for his work, including a. in 2003 the renowned scholarship of the German Academy Rome Villa Massimo .
