Rainer Walz (historian)

Rainer Walz (born September 22, 1943 in Horb am Neckar ) is a German historian specializing in the persecution of witches, Jewish history and regional history of the Lower Rhine.

Life

He studied history, political science and English in Tübingen , Marburg and London . After graduating as Dr. phil. in Bielefeld in 1976 and habilitation in Essen in 1992, he became professor for early modern history in Bochum in 1995 .
