Raitzhain is a district of Ronneburg in the Greiz district in Thuringia .

Just behind the eastern outskirts of Ronneburg is the hallway of Raitzhain. Both places are crossed by the federal highway 7 . The federal highway 4 runs about two kilometers north of the district . Raitzhain is a rural district that is located in the Ronneburg- Schmölln arable farming area . Wismut AG once operated to the south . By Raitzhain which runs railway Gößnitz-Gera , the railway Meuselwitz-Ronneburg and the railway Seelingstädt-Paitzdorf . Raitzhain station was purely a depot and was dismantled in the course of the liquidation of Wismut AG.
history
The first documentary mention took place on October 16, 1384. The current church was built in 1875. There are stately half-timbered houses and farms in the village. In 2012, a total of 200 inhabitants lived in the district.
